Hannah and Rebecca (and of course their parents) are going to packing up everything they own and heading south east to the sunny state of Florida in just a few short weeks. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know these sweet girls from the salon. I cut their hair and their mom’s hair, too… Such well behaved, kind hearted girls. I know they will have so much fun at their new house, and new school in Florida but I sure am sad to see them go.
Mom and I thought it was fitting to have some photos made in the bluebonnets before they leave the great state of Texas.

You girls were fabulous to work with! Thanks for letting me tag along on our little adventure to the field of bluebonnets!! I wish you guys the best of luck settling into your new home!
Until next time,
Emily
After three (maybe even four??) attempts to get these kiddo’s in, we FINALLY got the chance to play. The north Texas wind is about to eat my lunch. Mom and I had some great ideas for an outdoor session and almost had to throw the in towel and move indoors all because of this crazy wind. We did meet and I had a wonderful evening with these sweet kids. Beckham was the funniest 2 year old I’ve photographed in a long time and sweet little Kerrington was so patient to wait her turn.

Thanks you guys for a wonderful evening in beautiful little Frisco, Texas
Until next time,
Emily
Katie and I met up for a mini-session last Friday (it was VERY mini because HOLY COW it was colllld and the wind was INSANE!! I love that summer is taking it’s time getting here but oh my goodness the wind is messin’ with my bid-ness!). She called me a few weeks ago to bounce an idea off of me… She told me that her mother and grandmother had both graduated from TWU and she was getting ready to graduate this year. She wasn’t ready for the “full” session, yet. But, shared her love of the Red Buds at TWU and also told me how her Mom and Grandma share this love with her. So, as a gift for them, she called me to photograph her first to capture this wonderful time in her life, and second, to have a piece of art to display the beauty of these beautiful trees.

Thanks Katie for hanging in there with the CRAZY weather and for not totally busting a gut laughing at me when I busted my face, knee, elbows, camera, camera bag, rear walking behind the caution tape. Duh. You were so sweet not to laugh… Maybe you did when you got home. I wouldn’t have blamed you. ;) Anyway, it was so nice to walk and talk with you and hear your story. I’m excited to see what God has in store for you and your amazing career working with children.
Until next time,
Emily
I love all of the color from Claire’s session… If my clients are having a hard time choosing their clothing, I usually tell them to bring their closet and we’ll pick together. Claire brought some really great colors and I’m having a blast editing her photos.
She is an absolute natural beauty and even though she might have doubted herself (and me- for putting her in some crazy positions, walking down random back streets for the perfect shot, and getting tire yuck on her cute pink dress) she is a complete natural in front on the camera! And, what makes this girl even more beautiful is her sweet personality and kind spirit.

I love my job. I know I say it often but who wouldn’t love hanging out with the coolest people, ever? I could tell right away, when talking to Claire’s mom, that I was going to love the two of them. I enjoyed our evening walking around and learning a little more about those lovely ladies.
Until next time,
Emily
Can she possibly be ONE already?? Actually, sweet Keelyn turned one in December and mom and I are just now getting these done. Her mom’s pretty darn close to being family (my best bud :)) and it took us a bit to get our stuff together. I’m kinda glad we waited because we had beautifulweather. Definitely wouldn’t have been this pretty out the week of Christmas!
Poor baby took a little cat nap in the car on the way so when it was time to start shooting she was a little apprehensive. (Maybe because of the big black thing in her face??) But, it sure didn’t take her long to warm up and smile like this…

Remember the naked baby on the bridge on the top of my old blog?? Yep, she’s a big girl now!
I love you girls!!
Until next time,
Emily
